WOODBRIDGE, Ontario, October 7, 2026 — Ecom Logistics today announced the launch of Ecom NOW, a same-day fulfillment and delivery experience for Shopify merchants. Ecom NOW connects a merchant’s Shopify storefront to Ecom’s connected order-to-door network, bringing fulfillment and last-mile delivery together in one seamless same-day experience. Customers who order eligible products before noon receive their order the same day by 9 PM.
Ecom NOW is available now for eligible deliveries in Canada’s major markets: the Greater Toronto Area, Greater Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.
Customers increasingly expect speed and convenience from the brands they shop with. Same-day programs have been associated with up to 12% higher sales, and in Baymard Institute research, 20% of surveyed U.S. online shoppers who abandoned checkout cited delivery being too slow.* Ecom NOW gives Shopify brands a way to compete on speed and convenience from their own storefront, without adding another warehouse, courier or manual handoff to manage.
“Shoppers now associate same-day delivery with the leading names in ecommerce. Shopify brands should be able to offer that same convenience from their own storefront, under their own brand,” said Luqman Ahmed, President and CEO of Ecom Logistics. “Ecom NOW is built on the order-to-door network our customers already rely on. It lets a brand make same-day part of its own customer experience, not something shoppers have to go elsewhere to find.”
“Delivery speed is no longer just an operations metric. It can change the purchase decision,” said Alison Spehar, Chief Revenue Officer of Ecom Logistics. “When shoppers see ‘get it today’ on the product page, before they reach checkout, speed becomes another reason to buy. Ecom NOW helps merchants turn speed into sales, and they can launch with control: start with the products that matter most, then expand based on what works for their business.”
How Ecom NOW works
Ecom NOW makes the same-day promise visible within the Shopify shopping experience, where it can influence the purchase decision before the customer reaches checkout:
- Shop: Eligible products display the NOW badge, with the expected delivery and a live countdown to the noon cut-off.
- Order: The customer places an eligible order before noon and selects Ecom NOW at checkout.
- Fulfill: The order is prepared for same-day handoff by Ecom, the merchant’s own operation or the merchant’s existing 3PL.
- Deliver: Ecom delivers the order by 9 PM, with tracking and confirmation.
Merchants choose which products qualify, by SKU, collection, product type or promotional period, and can start small and expand over time. Ecom manages the NOW badge, delivery-area eligibility and cut-off logic. Merchants keep their storefront, brand and customer relationships end to end, with no marketplace listing and no requirement to move inventory or change fulfillment partners.
