Operational capabilities built for performance

  • Inbound and warehousing

Structured receiving, cross-docking where appropriate and organised storage prepare inventory for the orders that follow.

  • Pick, pack and ship

Scan checks and packing quality control help catch errors before dispatch. Packaging, kits and inserts follow the requirements agreed for your products.

  • Inventory management

Stock tracking, multi-location visibility and inventory updates across connected channels help your team distinguish available stock from units already committed to orders.

  • Returns management

Inspection, restocking and inventory updates stay within the fulfillment operation. Your product-condition rules determine which items can return to sale.

How the platform connects

What happens after your customer clicks buy

Every order runs the same six steps, and every step writes an event your team and your customer can see. Moving your operation onto the network follows the same line, agreed stage by stage before the first receipt.

  1. Order received

The order arrives through your connected store or order platform, ready for allocation and picking.

  2. Stock allocated

Inventory is reserved against a scanned location and the count updates in your dashboard.

  3. Picked and checked

Scanned through the pick, then quality checked against the order before it is packed.

  4. Packed to spec

Packed to your packaging and insert rules, labelled and staged for the right lane.

  5. Out for delivery

Routed on the day's real volume, with a tracking event your customer can read.

  6. Delivered

Closed out at the door with a timestamped photo on the order record.

Carrier agnostic, with our own fleet where it counts

Carrier selection follows your cost and service requirements. Where Ecom runs its own last-mile routes, qualifying orders can move from fulfillment into same-day delivery, with tracking and proof of delivery. Ecom Freight supports inbound stock and cross-border replenishment between Canada and the US.

What merchants ask first

What do you need from us to get stock in?
We confirm the inbound receiving requirements and packing specification during setup. An advance ship notice (ASN) tells the warehouse what to expect, so quantities and discrepancies can be checked when stock arrives.
Do we have to move all of our inventory?
You can discuss a phased start by channel or product line. The transfer plan needs to account for open orders and stock availability so both operations know which inventory they can ship.
How does our store know what is on the shelf?
Your store receives inventory updates through its supported connection. During setup, we review how available stock, allocated orders and returns should be reflected in your channels.
Can you handle retail POs as well as web orders?
Yes. D2C orders and B2B retail purchase orders can use the same inventory pool. Retail accounts also need their own EDI, labelling and routing-guide requirements agreed before the first shipment.
How are fulfillment orders dispatched?
Orders are assigned the outbound service agreed for your programme. That can include carrier shipping, Ecom delivery where available, or freight for retail and bulk orders. Same-day dispatch depends on the cutoff and stock being ready.
